Galesburg-area high school tennis
Tennis is contested across two seasons under IHSA scheduling — girls in the fall and boys in the spring — around the Galesburg area.
How the seasons work
Girls teams play from August through the fall postseason, while boys take the court in the spring. Both seasons build toward the IHSA sectional and state finals in singles and doubles.
The local teams
The Galesburg Silver Streaks lead the area in the Western Big 6 Conference, with Lincoln Trail Conference schools — Knoxville, ROWVA, United, West Central and Abingdon-Avon — and Monmouth-Roseville rounding out the local field. Muddy River Sport covers every area program.
