Galesburg-area high school golf
Golf is a fall sport across the Galesburg, Monmouth and Knox County area, with boys and girls teams competing from August into the IHSA postseason.
How the season works
Teams play dual matches and invitationals through late summer and early fall, with conference meets deciding titles before the IHSA regional, sectional and state finals in October, bracketed by enrollment class.
The local teams
The Galesburg Silver Streaks lead the area in the Western Big 6 Conference, with Lincoln Trail Conference schools — Knoxville, ROWVA, United, West Central and Abingdon-Avon — and Monmouth-Roseville rounding out the local field. Muddy River Sport covers every area program.
