A brutal night for the Western Big 6. The league went 2-6, with only Geneseo (16-13 over Assumption) and Quincy (31-28 over O’Fallon) winning. Rochester beat Moline 21-17, Kaneland routed Rock Island 49-7, Wheaton Academy beat United Township 28-14, Metamora shut out Sterling 10-0, and Morrison won by forfeit over Alleman, which is not fielding a varsity team this season.
